Wildlife Removal Services in Gainesville, Georgia
Many of Georgia’s wild animals are naturally drawn to and have learned to adapt and even thrive in our homes. And why not? As they have abundant sources of food, water, shelter, and even protection from their natural predators. They gain access to your home through small gaps or openings along the roof line.
It doesn’t matter if you are in a newly build neighborhood in Suwanee, a Lake house on Lanier or towards the country in Winder you are susceptible to wild animals in your home that are very dangerous. They love to chew, and will do so on anything and everything they can find. They will chew on electric wires creating an extreme fire hazard. Squirrels alone cause on average 30,000 house fires a year in the U.S.
Rodents will chew holes in plastic piping causing flooding in your home. They will also chew through your duct work causing the attic to be heated or cooled and your utility bills to increase. Rodent feces are a health risk to you and your family, as well as the diseases that they carry.
We’ll get those pesky rodents out of your house and keep them out!
The first step is to trap them! We will strategically place traps and check them frequently to get all of the rodents out of the home. Did you know that peanut butter is extremely effective as a bait for rodents? Or that once a squirrel is trapped, they must be released at least 5 miles from your home to insure that they won’t come back?
Next, we seal up the home to protect your home from any future infestations. We install metal flashing around the gutter line to protection that common entry point. As well as seal up all entry points, such as attic gables and crawl space vents.
You may also need to have any contaminated insulation removed and new insulation blow in to protect your family from the health hazards and boost your energy savings as an added benefit!
Be proactive and have your gutter line and any entry points sealed up before those rodents can ever enter your home!
You'd Think They Look Cute, But...
... THEY DO A TON OF DAMAGE! A squirrel alone in the attic can costs thousands of dollars worth of damage to a home if he chews electrical wires and the like, to say nothing of the health issues associated with the remnants a critter leaves behind. Below are some pics of homes we've seen, some of the damage, the tunnels in the insulation, holes in the soffits, and also some of the exclusion work we do to keep the wildlife "wild" and out of your home!
